Our School

Penshaw Equestrian Centre was established in 1978 and since this time the riding school and livery yard has expanded to its present size.

The School has a large variety of school horses available for complete beginners up to competent riders. Riders with their own horses are also welcome. Our instructors range from student teachers to BHSAI.

We offer instruction in all aspects of horse care from Horse Owners Certificate course, Riding and Road Safety courses and Riding Holidays (non-residential) up to BHS examinations. Penshaw Equestrian Centre is a Pony Club Centre.

We take horses for breaking and schooling.

We run affiliated dressage competitions, BSJA jumping, Unaffiliated jumping & games days.

Our BHS approved certificate and our riding school licence are located in the office.
